Become a Mentor Today!

In 2009, WFO launched a new program specifically designed to break the cycle of poverty. Our year-long Success Series provides both education and new relationships to give participants the tools, confidence and support they need to transform their job into a career. The series features workshops, financial literacy, career coaching and community mentors to provide participants with critical leadership and knowledge in a supportive environment.

We are currently looking for mentors for our Success Series program. Over the course of six months participants will be paired with someone in the community who will meet with them one to two times a month (just 3 hours a month!) to offer guidance as they make progress on their goals. It’s a small amount to give but it creates a HUGE impact on our clients’ lives.

For more information on becoming a mentor, please contact Mia Georgiu.

Upcoming Volunteer Orientations:

- Every Wednesday at 10am in Oakland
(Please RSVP two days in advance to ensure availability)
